"Le buffer robotise qui s'adapte a vos contraintes"
Paris-area Galam Robotics, founded 2019, makes Buffer-One, a battery-free modular robotic buffer handling 50-5,000 bins at up to 2,000 bins/hour.
Galam Robotics is a French warehouse robotics company that designs and builds modular robotic buffers for logistics and last-mile delivery flows. It was founded in 2019 by Samuel Perez and Jonathan Levy and is located in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, north of Paris, where design, final assembly and customer support are carried out. The company reports a team of more than 20 engineers and five filed patents. Its technology uses a sliding-puzzle principle in which bins move within a dense grid, aimed at small and mid-sized warehouses of roughly 100 to 1,000 square metres.
Its flagship product, Buffer-One, stores and sequences bins and parcels between preparation and shipping. A system holds 50 to 5,000 bins, handles 400 to more than 2,000 bins per hour with inbound and outbound flows managed simultaneously, accepts bins up to 600 x 400 mm and parcels up to 80 cm long with up to 30 kg per bin, needs a minimum ceiling height of 3 m and works in positive-temperature cold rooms. Power requirements range from 15 to 150 kVA. The machine is fully wired with no batteries and uses a redundant architecture with no single point of failure. Modules can be added or removed as needs change, and deployment takes under six months excluding custom development. Add-ons include an automatic stacker (up to five levels), a destacker with format detection, sorting and conveying modules with smart diverters, and the Galam API for WMS integration. Every project is simulated before deployment.
Target applications are click-and-collect grocery drive shipping buffers, home grocery delivery hubs, sequencing for pharmaceutical distributors and parcel grouping for express delivery routes. Customers include Leclerc and Carrefour.
In March 2025 Galam Robotics raised EUR 10 million in a Series A round led by Supernova Invest (CAIT fund) and Bpifrance Amorcage Industriel, with participation from existing investors Polytechnique Ventures and Stephane Aisenberg, to expand production capacity and commercial operations in France and Europe. Supporters include Bpifrance and the French Tech 2030 programme.
