BYD has officially launched the third-generation Qin Plus DM-i plug-in hybrid sedan on October 27, with introductory prices ranging from RMB 76,900 to RMB 97,900. The standard pricing for the three variants is set between RMB 79,900 and RMB 100,900. This new model boasts an electric-only range of up to 220 km and a total combined range of up to 2,290 km.
The significance of this launch lies in BYD's continued innovation in hybrid technology, as the Qin Plus DM-i is equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid system. It achieves an impressive NEDC fuel consumption rate of 2.58 liters per 100 km when the battery is depleted, showcasing the efficiency of BYD's engineering.
BYD's Qin Plus DM-i includes the option for the God’s Eye B driver-assistance system, which enhances user experience with features like city and highway navigation assistance and automated parking. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
