Ambyon has developed the Ambyon ONE, a robot designed to assist healthcare professionals by taking over logistical tasks, allowing them to focus more on patient care. Founder and CEO Willem-Jan Lamers spent 18 months working alongside healthcare staff to understand their challenges before creating this innovative solution.
The Ambyon ONE is designed to navigate hospital environments using human-like cognition, recognizing situations and interacting with its surroundings, such as pressing elevator buttons. This approach not only enhances efficiency but also restores valuable time to healthcare workers, enabling them to engage more with patients and improve their job satisfaction.
Ambyon's efforts are part of the CareBOTS project, supported by the European Regional Development Fund and local government initiatives. Following their regional success in Brainport, Ambyon is now preparing for the national finals of the National Healthcare Innovation Award 2026, scheduled for April 15, where public votes will determine the winner.
