XPENG Robotics Secures Over $900 Million to Propel Humanoid Robot Development

XPENG's robotics division has successfully raised over $900 million, achieving a post-money valuation exceeding $6.3 billion. This funding marks a significant milestone as the largest single-round private financing in China's embodied AI sector.

The investment round was spearheaded by prominent global investors, including IDG Capital, with contributions from Gaorong Ventures and strategic backing from Tencent and Alibaba. This financial boost is set to enhance XPENG's capabilities in mass-producing humanoid robots and advancing Physical AI model research and development.

Looking ahead, the funding will facilitate XPENG's efforts to drive its general-purpose humanoid robots toward a new phase of global commercialization. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
