Simbe Robotics has announced that it has surpassed 3,000 autonomous robots under contract, expanding its technology beyond shelf-scanning capabilities. The company’s system integrates autonomous robots, computer vision, RFID, handheld devices, and fixed sensors to monitor various aspects of retail operations, including inventory and pricing.
This achievement is significant as it positions Simbe as a leader in the commercial deployment of shelf-intelligence technology, utilized by over 75 retail banners across nearly a dozen countries. More than 90% of store managers using the Tally robot report improvements in their job performance, highlighting the effectiveness of the technology in enhancing retail operations.
Looking ahead, Simbe plans to further develop its platform to support more automated store operations, leveraging the data collected from its existing deployments. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
