The French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (Shom) has finalized an order for a new autonomous underwater micro-drone, the NemoSens model, from the French manufacturer RTsys. This decision, made at the end of December following a seven-month competitive bidding process, is a key component of Shom's transformation plan aimed at modernizing hydrographic and oceanographic data acquisition methods, set to be implemented in 2024. The acquisition reflects Shom's commitment to enhancing its capabilities in underwater exploration and data collection.
