Ruiguan Robotics Achieves China's First Dual Explosion-Proof Certification for Inspection Robot

Ruiguan Robotics has successfully obtained China's first dual explosion-proof certification for its Delta four-wheeled inspection robot, which is designed for hazardous environments. This milestone highlights the increasing reliance on robotics in industries such as oil, chemicals, and coal, where human entry poses significant risks due to flammable and explosive conditions.

The significance of this achievement lies in addressing safety concerns in high-risk areas, where traditional inspection methods are inadequate. The dual certification, Ex IIC T6 Gb for gas and Ex IIIC T80℃ Db for dust, ensures that the robot can operate safely without becoming a source of ignition in explosive atmospheres. This development marks a critical step in the evolution of industrial safety practices.

Looking ahead, the market for explosion-proof inspection robots is projected to grow rapidly, with a compound annual growth rate of 45.0% from 2026 to 2032. As safety regulations tighten and labor costs rise, the demand for robotic solutions in hazardous environments is expected to increase significantly, making robotic replacements a necessity rather than an option.

Editor's Note

The recent advancements in explosion-proof robotics underscore a pivotal shift in industrial safety protocols. As sectors like oil and gas face stringent regulations and rising operational costs, the integration of robotic solutions is becoming essential. This trend not only enhances safety but also optimizes efficiency in high-risk environments, reflecting a broader movement towards automation in hazardous industries.
