NVIDIA Unveils Flora to Transform Robot Videos into Training Data for AI

NVIDIA has launched Flora, a suite of models designed to convert robot and human videos into labeled training data for robotics AI. This innovative system identifies specific actions, describes them linguistically, and evaluates task performance, facilitating the transformation of extensive video collections into valuable learning resources.
The introduction of Flora is significant as it enhances the data preparation process essential for robot learning. By supporting NVIDIA's GR00T training pipeline, Flora processes an impressive 200,000 hours of video daily using 512 GB300 GPUs, focusing on annotation throughput rather than merely collecting new robot experience.
Looking ahead, the capabilities of Flora, which include three distinct models—Flora-TempSeg, Flora-Captioner, and Flora-Rewarder—will be pivotal in refining the evaluation and reinforcement-learning processes post-training. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
