NEURA Robotics has introduced the 4NE1 Gen 4, a lighter humanoid robot that is 20% lighter than its predecessor, during the opening of the TUM RoboGym at Munich Airport's LabCampus. This new model features a black textile exterior and enhanced capabilities, including improved gripping and 'Smart Limbs' that can respond independently to stimuli.
The significance of this launch lies in the integration of the 4NE1 Gen 4 with the TUM RoboGym, which is designed for teaching robots practical tasks. The facility houses 48 training cells and approximately 100 humanoid and service robots, facilitating research into robot skills and safe human-robot interaction. NEURA's advancements in robot design aim to enhance usability and adaptability in various industrial applications.
NEURA Robotics reports that the 4NE1 Gen 4 is already operational in its Gyms and is also showcased at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
