ACE Robotics, established by Xiaogang Wang, co-founder of SenseTime, unveiled its ACE-Brain-0.6 embodied AI model on October 19. This model is designed to enhance robot spatial perception by identifying objects, locating them in images, and determining interaction points. It was developed through supervised fine-tuning of Qwen3.5-9B and trained on approximately 1 million spatial-grounding samples.
The significance of ACE-Brain-0.6 lies in its performance metrics, as it surpassed GPT-6 Astra in six out of eight grounding benchmarks. The model achieved an average score of 74.53 across seven public benchmarks and an impressive 94.13 on RobotGrounding, which simulates real robot scenarios. In comparison, Astra scored 73.68 and 91.10 on the same evaluations, highlighting ACE Robotics' advancements in embodied AI technology.
Looking ahead, the focus will be on how ACE Robotics continues to refine its models and the potential applications of ACE-Brain-0.6 in various robotic systems. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
