Shenzhen sensor maker founded 2013 supplying LiDAR and line-laser sensors to robot vacuum brands; shipped over 10 million LiDARs in 2025.
Camsense (Shenzhen Camsense Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese maker of spatial perception sensors whose main market is robot vacuum cleaners. It was founded in Shenzhen in 2013 by Wang Jian, now chairman, and Zhou Kun, general manager and a graduate supervisor at Tsinghua University's Shenzhen graduate school, with an initial focus on high-precision vision-based positioning. Headquarters are in Room 1801, Block C, Minzhi Share Commercial Center, Longhua District, Shenzhen, and the company has seven locations across Shenzhen, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Qingdao, Beijing, Hong Kong and Suzhou. It reported 415 employees on 31 March 2026, more than 70 percent of headquarters staff in R&D.
The company entered consumer LiDAR in 2017, launched the X1 monocular LiDAR and its first image-processing ASIC, the C1, in 2018, and in 2020 introduced the compact X2, which became a mainstream sensor for robot vacuums. Later products include the D2 and D3 triangulation LiDARs, L-series line-laser sensors for edge following, F-series line-laser sensors for obstacle avoidance, the P-series 360-degree lifting LiDAR in mass production from 2024, the CF-series dToF cliff sensor (2025) and the V-series 3D dToF LiDAR. Published specifications include a 0.05-12 m range, 5 Hz scanning and 2,000 Hz sampling for the P series, and 0.15-8 m range with up to 3,000 Hz sampling for the D3. The sensors run on in-house chips (C1, C2 and C3 ASICs) and the HPP infrared optical positioning SDK. Outside robotics it sells the Camsense XR VR/AR tracking system and the M Pro and S high-precision positioning systems for industrial and medical use, with stated accuracy below 0.2 mm.
Shipments grew from about 500,000 LiDAR units in 2020 to about 8 million in 2024 and more than 10 million LiDARs plus 5 million line-laser sensors in 2025, with cumulative shipments above 39 million units. In the first half of 2026 it reported revenue of RMB 413 million, up 41.4 percent, and shipped over 7 million LiDARs. Press coverage of its listing names Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Xiaomi and Midea among robot vacuum customers, and cites CIC research ranking it first globally in robot vacuum spatial perception solutions in 2025. Products are also being extended to robotic lawn mowers, pool cleaners, humanoid robots and 3D printing.
Camsense raised angel and Pre-A rounds in 2016 and Series A through D between 2018 and 2025, converted into a joint-stock company in 2023, and opened a production base in Huizhou in 2024. It listed H shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 30 September 2026 under stock code 6802, offering 11,588,800 shares at HKD 58.85 to raise about HKD 682 million. It holds national specialised and sophisticated Little Giant status, National High-Tech Enterprise certification and Guangdong and Shenzhen manufacturing single-product champion titles.
