Ningbo Tuopu Group Co., Ltd. is a Chinese automotive parts manufacturer headquartered in Ningbo, founded in 1983 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange under code 601689. Long established as a supplier of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) components, the group has expanded into chassis systems, lightweight and air suspension parts, interior and exterior trim, thermal management systems, and intelligent cockpit and driving-control components. It is a core supplier in Tesla's supply chain and also supplies Audi, BMW, Stellantis, GM, Geely, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and several Chinese electric vehicle makers, supported by plants and warehouses in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, Brazil, and Malaysia.
Building on its automotive electric-drive and precision-manufacturing base, Tuopu has set up a dedicated Robot Actuator Division that develops linear actuators, rotary actuators, and dexterous-hand motors as core components for humanoid robots, integrating motors, reduction mechanisms, sensors, encoders, drivers, and controllers in house. The group has signed an investment of roughly 5 billion yuan for a robotic electric-drive system research and production base in the Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone, and brought two actuator production lines into operation in January 2024 aimed at the humanoid robot market.
