Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is the largest military shipbuilding company in the United States and a global, all-domain defense and technology provider. Formed on March 31, 2011, as a divestiture from Northrop Grumman and headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, HII trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol HII. The REMUS line, built on more than 25 years of operational success, is trusted by the U.S. Navy, allied naval forces, government agencies, research institutions, and commercial operators for undersea missions including mine countermeasures, surveillance, and undersea surveys; HII has delivered more than 750 REMUS vehicles worldwide, with the new REMUS 130 as the latest variant. HII has also invested in autonomous surface vessel technology through a stake in Sea Machines, advancing AI-driven unmanned maritime capabilities. Its unmanned underwater systems operations are based in Pocasset, Massachusetts.
