Zhongyi Embodied Technology recently announced the completion of nearly 100 million yuan in angel round financing, led by Andar Intelligent Holdings, with participation from Deep Hong Kong Hengtian and Beijing Junge Rui. Following a seed round that elevated the company's valuation into the hundreds of millions, this angel round significantly boosts its post-investment valuation. The company is simultaneously advancing its Pre-A round financing, with several leading investment institutions expressing clear interest and some already initiating on-site due diligence.
This funding round is significant as it reflects a growing trend where industrial capital is increasingly entering the embodied intelligence sector, particularly in manufacturing and automation. The investment from Andar Intelligent, rooted in industrial automation, aims to secure technology teams and enhance capabilities in robotics and heterogeneous collaboration. The financing market is showing two key trends: many newly established startups are securing substantial funding in early rounds, and the proportion of industrial background investors is rising, while purely financial VCs are becoming more cautious.
Looking ahead, the overall financing in the domestic embodied intelligence sector is projected to exceed 90 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, marking a fivefold increase compared to the same period in 2025. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
Editor's Note
The recent financing activity in the embodied intelligence sector highlights a shift towards industrial capital investment, particularly from established players in manufacturing and automation. This trend indicates a growing confidence in the technology's potential, but it also raises concerns about inflated valuations and the sustainability of such investments. Stakeholders should monitor how these dynamics evolve as the market matures.
