Shenzhen embodied-intelligence startup building home-service robots, backed by a 2026 angel round led by Alibaba and Tencent.
Morphi Intelligence (Shenzhen Moqi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Shenzhen-based embodied-intelligence startup founded in early 2026 that develops general-purpose robots aimed at home-service scenarios. The company was co-founded by CTO Huang Qingqiu, a former head of Huawei's autonomous-driving unit and a recipient of Huawei's internal 'Genius Youth' recognition, alongside CEO Gao Wenli, previously a co-founder of the cross-border logistics company iMile. Within roughly six months of founding, Morphi announced an angel-round financing of more than RMB 1 billion led by Alibaba and Tencent, with participation from Vertex Ventures China and more than a dozen other institutional investors, pushing its post-money valuation above RMB 7 billion.
Morphi's stated mission is to build a general-purpose humanoid robot capable of operating inside the home, pursuing full-stack in-house development spanning robot-body design, motion control, and perception. The company has built an embodied-AI world-model stack under the internal brand name MoRA, which it positions as the cognitive layer behind its robot products. At the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, Morphi exhibited MORPHI KINO, a wheeled dual-arm home-service robot that combines multimodal perception, autonomous navigation, and coordinated dual-arm manipulation; public demonstrations showed the robot performing household tasks such as tidying items, restocking shelves, and folding clothes.
The company has publicly discussed a commercialization-first strategy, prioritizing near-term service scenarios before pursuing a fully humanoid form factor. Morphi's disclosed financing and rapid valuation growth place it among the more heavily capitalized embodied-intelligence startups to emerge in China during 2026, though as a very recently founded company it has not yet disclosed employee headcount, manufacturing scale, or product pricing. No stock-exchange listing, parent-company relationship, or additional funding rounds beyond the reported angel round were identified during this research.
