The Robot Report is a US business-to-business news publication covering the commercial robotics industry. It was launched in 2008 by analyst Frank Tobe as an independent site tracking robotics companies and investment, and has been owned by media company Arrowfly LLC since July 2017. It is a media and research resource rather than a robot manufacturer or supplier.
Coverage spans enabling technologies such as sensors, machine vision, AI and soft robotics; robot categories including industrial and collaborative arms, mobile robots, humanoids, drones and autonomous vehicles; and business news on funding, mergers and acquisitions and earnings across agriculture, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, mining and security. The editorial team is led by executive editor Steve Crowe with editorial director Eugene Demaitre, senior editor Mike Oitzman and associate editor Brianna Wessling. The site also produces The Robot Report Podcast, webinars, videos, eBooks and digital issues, and maintains a searchable robotics company database.
The brand organizes the annual Robotics Summit & Expo and the RoboBusiness conference and presents the RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards each year. Sister titles under the same owner include Automated Warehouse, Collaborative Robotics Trends and Mobile Robot Guide, and the group co-produces DeviceTalks and the R&D 100 conference.
