Oshen's Autonomous Sailboat Achieves Historic 3,555-Mile Atlantic Crossing in 127 Days

Oshen's four-foot autonomous sailboat, the C-Star PC13, has successfully completed a 3,555-mile Atlantic crossing, marking a historic achievement in the Microtransat Challenge after over 30 attempts. Departing Gran Canaria on May 7, the vessel reached Barbados in 127 days, navigating through busy shipping routes and challenging weather conditions, including Tropical Storm Dolly.

This accomplishment is significant as it represents the first successful completion of the Microtransat, a challenge aimed at advancing the development of robotic boats since its inception in 2010. The PC13's design leverages wind for propulsion while utilizing software for navigation, showcasing the potential of autonomous vessels in maritime applications.
