In April 2026, Star Robotics launched Watchbot 2, the latest generation of its autonomous security robot. Watchbot 2 features six times the onboard computing capacity of its predecessor, enabling more advanced real-time AI inference. The new model introduces GPS-based outdoor positioning, a redesigned battery system that doubles operating time to 16 hours per day, and improved mechanical durability. The platform is rated to operate in temperatures from -25 degrees C to +50 degrees C and withstands heavy rain and dusty industrial conditions, meeting the requirements of extreme environments.
