CHICAGO and BERLIN, August 28, 2026. At IMTS 2026, Ailoys GmbH will present an industrial AI device that works like a stethoscope for production machines. Its sensors listen as equipment, material and tools interact, allowing AI to detect subtle process changes before they become visible as defects to conventional inspection systems. This helps manufacturers increase output, reduce scrap and extend unattended operation on existing equipment.
At Booth 237629, visitors can see the Ailoys Edge device and explore real-world applications and results in wire drawing, CNC machining and tube manufacturing.
The device analyzes high-frequency signals in real time and can alert an operator or communicate with the machine PLC, allowing an approved setpoint to be adjusted without stopping the line.
Results on Existing Equipment
Wire drawing. Up to 30% higher production speed and 12% less die wear on an existing line. Working with a European equipment manufacturer, Ailoys identifies material conditions that may lead to wire breakage and signals the PLC to reduce speed only through the affected section before returning to the optimized setting.
CNC machining. During its first three months of operation at a European aerospace manufacturer, Ailoys helped avoid more than $20,000 in potential scrap by detecting abnormal process behavior and separating suspect parts before further value was added.
Tube manufacturing. At a European tube manufacturer, Ailoys continuously analyzes signals from equipment and material on a production machine. It learns normal patterns, identifies deviations early and creates a digital fingerprint of the manufacturing process.
First U.S. Project Commissioned, Midwest Rollouts Underway
IMTS 2026 marks the next stage of Ailoys' expansion into North American manufacturing. The company has commissioned its first U.S. project with a Philadelphia-area aerospace tubing producer and secured multiple rollout commitments with manufacturers across the Midwest.
These relationships began at U.S. manufacturing trade shows in 2025. Ailoys has also established U.S. operations and joined the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest.
