Introduction of the Electric Rigitrac SKE 40 Tractor to the Dutch Market

The Rigitrac SKE 40 Electric tractor, designed from the ground up as an electric machine, is being introduced to the Dutch market by importer Hissink. This innovative tractor aims to minimize energy losses in its driveline, allowing for an operational time of 4 to 6 hours per battery charge, even when using implements like mowers.

The significance of the Rigitrac SKE 40 lies in its unique design, which differs from many electric tractors that are retrofitted from diesel models. By utilizing dedicated electric drives and a completely new design, the tractor enhances efficiency and performance. The SKE 40 features separate motors for hydraulics and PTOs, further optimizing energy use.

Currently in series production, the Rigitrac SKE 40 Electric is priced starting at €190,000 without attachments. As it continues to gain traction in the market, interested parties can request demonstrations from Hissink. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note

The introduction of the Rigitrac SKE 40 Electric tractor highlights a growing trend in the agricultural sector towards sustainable and efficient machinery. As electric tractors gain popularity, manufacturers are focusing on innovative designs that enhance performance while reducing energy consumption. This shift may influence procurement decisions and investment strategies in the agricultural technology landscape.
