Robotics and automated scanning are part of MISTRAS's inspection portfolio. Its ART Crawler and Large Structure Inspection (LSI) systems automate corrosion and erosion scanning on storage tanks and pressure vessels, the Spider Scanner tests large components such as wind-turbine blades without surface damage, and the TankPAC, MONPAC, and VPAC systems use acoustic-emission sensing for non-intrusive tank and vessel monitoring. Its TriStream magnetic-flux-leakage tools combine magnetic sensor arrays, caliper measurement, and inertial measurement units to assess pipeline metal loss and deformation. MISTRAS also develops PCMS asset-performance-management software.
MISTRAS operates roughly 100 locations worldwide with about 4,000 employees, serving oil and gas, power generation, chemical and manufacturing, infrastructure, and aerospace and defense customers. Its Princeton Junction facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and its field services conform to standards including ASME V, ASME VIII, API 1104, and API 6A.
