TMA Automation Sp. z o.o. is a Polish engineering company founded in 2010 in Gdynia by Marek Langowski and Piotr Orlikowski. The company specializes in the design, production, and installation of Cartesian (linear-axis) robots, in-mold labeling (IML) automation systems, robotic assembly stations, palletizers, and vision quality control systems. TMA is notable as the only serial manufacturer of top-entry Cartesian robots in Poland, with robots operating at accelerations of up to 4 m/s2 and load capacities of up to 100 kg.
The telescopic-arm models achieve working ranges of up to 2.8 meters. The company's IML robots are engineered for high-speed label insertion into injection molds, serving customers in the plastics processing industry across packaging, automotive, healthcare, cosmetics, electronics, and food sectors. TMA designs and manufactures its products at facilities within the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia, where engineering, assembly, and commissioning all take place.
In January 2022, ENGEL — a global leader in injection molding machinery — became the majority shareholder of TMA Automation, enabling deeper integration between TMA's robots and ENGEL's injection molding platforms. TMA has completed over 400 automation projects and employs approximately 40 engineers and technicians, with annual revenues around 2.5 million EUR. The company signed a contract for construction of a new robot factory in Gdansk.
Its technical team provides full project lifecycle support from concept and design through installation and programming.
