Persona AI Inc, founded in 2024 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, develops heavy-duty humanoid robots engineered specifically for demanding industrial environments. Co-founded by Nic Radford (NASA veteran and former humanoid robot program lead), Jerry Pratt (former CTO of Figure AI), and Jide Akinyode, Persona AI targets industries such as shipbuilding, steel fabrication, and energy infrastructure, where its robots perform welding, inspection, maintenance, and fabrication tasks. The company signed a deployment agreement with HD Hyundai and launched a pilot program with SSE Steel Fabrication in Louisiana.
Persona AI raised $27M in an oversubscribed pre-seed round in May 2025 and secured an additional $42M in December 2025 upon unveiling its Gen1 humanoid robot.
