LEVA Robotics
ETH Zurich focus project building a high-mobility wheeled-legged cargo robot for autonomous logistics across varied terrains.
LEVA Robotics is a student-led focus project at ETH Zurich, developed in collaboration with ZHAW and ZHdK. The team built a high-payload, high-mobility logistic robot that integrates a legged suspension system with steerable wheels, enabling autonomous cargo transport of up to 85 kg across flat surfaces, stairs, and rough terrain. The robot uses reinforcement learning for stair traversal and is equipped with LiDAR and cameras for navigation and box tracking.
Supported by the EU Horizon Europe euROBIN programme, LEVA targets construction, agriculture, and search-and-rescue logistics applications.
