Hydromea and SepcoTech Collaborate to Introduce EXRAY Inspection Robotics in Scandinavia

Hydromea and SepcoTech A/S have formed a commercial partnership to promote Hydromea’s EXRAY™ subsea inspection system in Scandinavia. The focus will be on naval, defense, maritime, and offshore applications, addressing the need for inspections in submerged and confined spaces that are challenging for divers or traditional ROVs. The EXRAY™ system features a dual-vehicle setup, comprising a tethered mothership ROV for open water operations and a wireless flyout vehicle for accessing confined areas. This innovative design allows for safe inspections without the risks associated with divers or tethered ROVs, while also ensuring high-definition video transmission to operators. This partnership is significant as it enhances inspection capabilities for asset owners, aiming to minimize personnel exposure and improve the efficiency of subsea inspections. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
