EVENT OVERVIEW

The 44th International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC 2027) will take place June 26 – July 1, 2027 in Odense, Denmark. ISARC is the annual conference of the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction (IAARC), which has run it since 1984, and is the main academic meeting for construction robotics, automation and digital construction. The 2027 edition is hosted by the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) with Odense Municipality, Invest in Odense, Odense Robotics, the Port of Odense, DTU, OTH Regensburg and Destination Fyn. It is the first ISARC held in the Nordic region.

Hosts expect around 300 participants from research and industry. Topics highlighted by the organizers include artificial intelligence, digital construction logistics, automation, sustainability and data-driven building. A robotics centre for large structures at the Port of Odense, linked to SDU's Center for Large Structure Production and described by the hosts as the world's largest of its kind, is set to host demonstrations and networking during the conference. The call for papers opens October 7, 2026, with full papers due December 10, 2026 and acceptance notifications on March 14, 2027. The conference venue within Odense has not yet been announced.
