Marine Technology Society Launches 2026 ROV Photo Challenge to Celebrate Innovation
The Marine Technology Society (MTS) ROV Committee has initiated the 2026 MTS ROV Photo Challenge, inviting participants from the ROV community to showcase their work. This initiative aims to highlight the advancements and teamwork in the field of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), emphasizing their applications in various sectors such as commercial, academic, and military operations. The challenge is significant as it provides a platform for recognition within the ROV community, with the top 10 photos to be displayed at Underwater Intervention 2026. Additionally, the top three entries will gain global visibility through MTS publications and social media, enhancing the exposure of contributors and their projects. Key dates for the challenge include the opening of entries on August 17, 2026, with a submission deadline of October 30, 2026. Winners will be announced at Underwater Intervention 2026 on December 2, 2026. Winning photos will also be integrated into the MTS visual library, ensuring lasting recognition for participants beyond the event.
