Honor Collaborates with ARRI to Launch Robot Phone with Cinematic Imaging Standards

On July 28, Honor unveiled its collaboration with ARRI at a technology event in Zhejiang, China, introducing the Robot Phone that integrates professional cinematic color standards into mobile imaging. This partnership marks a significant shift in mobile photography, moving beyond hardware specifications to focus on delivering tools that capture cinematic quality. The collaboration aims to redefine mobile imaging by utilizing ARRI's century-old color science, including LogC3 encoding and various official imaging presets. Honor's Chief Imaging Engineer emphasized the need for tools that can produce high-quality cinematic works, which the Robot Phone is designed to achieve through its comprehensive imaging engine and advanced optical capabilities. The Robot Phone, set to launch on August 12, features a self-developed imaging chip and a triple-camera system, including a 200-megapixel main camera. With over 200,000 pre-orders since July 18, this device is expected to extend cinematic imaging capabilities to future flagship products, marking a new era in mobile photography.
