Loadsmart has launched its Opendock freight scheduling and yard management platform in Brazil during the Intra-Log Expo South America in São Paulo. This platform, already utilized in international logistics, aims to address significant challenges such as truck waiting times and yard congestion in the Brazilian market.
The introduction of Opendock is crucial as Brazil faces average waiting times at logistics centers reaching 11 hours, compared to less than two hours in the US. Loadsmart's platform connects over 4,000 warehouses and 230,000 carriers globally, processing more than 14 million appointments annually, which could lead to measurable improvements in productivity and service levels in Brazil.
Looking ahead, Loadsmart aims to establish a strong presence in the Brazilian logistics technology market. The company demonstrated Opendock at Booth 807 during the expo, engaging with various stakeholders including manufacturers and logistics operators. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
