Bossard is a Swiss-headquartered fastening-technology and logistics group founded in 1831 in Zug and listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (BOSN). Its catalog spans more than 1,000,000 standard and customer-specific fasteners, including screws, nuts, washers, pins, rivets, clinch elements, threaded inserts, clip fasteners and sealing and welding technology.
Beyond physical products, Bossard's Smart Factory Logistics business automates the supply of C-parts at the point of use: SmartBin and SmartLabel containers with integrated weight sensors continuously measure consumption and transmit demand data to Bossard, which triggers automatic replenishment. For robotics and automation manufacturers, the group supplies fastening components and engineering support across assembly, structural and electronics joining, and runs an Assembly Technology Expert service that optimizes joining processes and total cost of ownership. Bossard operates a dedicated robotics industry segment alongside aerospace, electric vehicles, medical, railway, semiconductor, data center and HVAC markets. In the United States, Bossard North America, Inc. is based in Cedar Falls, Iowa, with additional aerospace operations in Irving, Texas, and it has deployed thousands of Smart Bins across US customer sites.
As of 2025 the group employed more than 3,300 people across 33 countries and reported turnover of about 1.07 billion Swiss francs. Engineering services include design optimization, component validation, composites fastening and rationalization aimed at reducing time to market and assembly cost. The company combines worldwide sales, technical consulting and inventory management, positioning itself as both a component supplier and a logistics-technology provider to manufacturers that build and assemble industrial, electronic and robotic products.
