LG Group has announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia to develop its first bipedal humanoid robot, set for unveiling in early 2027. The agreement was formalized by LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, following discussions in Seoul earlier this year.
This collaboration is significant as it aims to combine LG's expertise in product engineering and manufacturing with Nvidia's advanced AI technology. The bipedal humanoid robot will utilize Nvidia's Issac GR00T foundation model and Jetson Thor computing platform, marking a notable advancement in robotics and AI factories.
Looking ahead, LG's pilot production line in Changwon has already begun initial production of the robot, which will feature key components from various LG affiliates. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
