Youcan Robotics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was officially registered and established in August 2016 by a team of engineers focused on intelligent underwater exploration technology. Headquartered in Shanghai with a manufacturing facility in Zhejiang and marketing partners in New York and a Tokyo branch, the company develops consumer-grade and professional underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) under the Youcan Robot and BW-Space brand names. The company's flagship product is the BW Space Pro, which features a Sony 4K high-definition camera with 6x optical zoom, a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor delivering up to 12 MP stills, and 1380 lumen dual LED lighting for low-visibility environments.
The ROV achieves a maximum operating depth of 100 meters (approximately 330 feet), is powered by a 9000 mAh lithium battery enabling up to 5 hours of continuous underwater operation, and supports 360-degree free rotation. Video is transmitted in real time at 1080p via a multi-channel WiFi MIMO base station through a tethered cable (available in 50 m and 150 m configurations). The BW Space Pro was the first consumer underwater drone to incorporate intelligent auto-tracking and zoom functionality.
Youcan Robotics also developed the BW Space Pro Max, positioned for professional search-and-rescue operations. The company markets its products globally, with strong presence in overseas consumer markets in North America, Europe, and Japan.
