"Robots for hazardous environments"
Austrian manufacturer of ATEX-certified autonomous ground robots for inspection and maintenance in hazardous industrial environments.
Taurob GmbH, founded in Vienna in 2010, is the maker of the world's first ATEX-certified mobile robot. The company designs and manufactures fully autonomous ground robots — the Inspector and the Operator — for routine inspection, data collection, and maintenance on industrial sites including oil & gas, chemical, and offshore facilities. The Inspector captures HD video, audio, gas readings, thermography, and 3D LiDAR scans; the Operator can interact with valves and gauges and lift payloads up to 75 kg.
Taurob won the Total Energies ARGOS Challenge in 2017 and has been part of the Dietsmann Group since 2019. In 2024, the company signed a strategic partnership with Rockwell Automation.
