Raise Robotics, founded in 2021 by Gary Chen and Conley Oster and headquartered in San Francisco, California, develops semi-autonomous mobile robotic platforms designed to automate complex on-site tasks in construction, shipbuilding, and heavy fabrication. The flagship product, the Autonomous Mobile Fabricator (AMF), is a versatile workcell that operates as a ground-level AGV or mounts directly onto a Genie MEWP aerial platform. Equipped with interchangeable end effectors and AI-driven deep learning models, it can perform layout marking, drilling, scanning, and installation work in extreme conditions (15°F to 110°F).
The AMF achieved precision within 1/16-inch while automating curtain wall layout for over 10,000 glass panels at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, saving an estimated 830 labor hours. The company has raised $11.8M in total funding, including a $7.75M seed round led by MaC Venture Capital in July 2025.
