Delta Motion is the trade name of Delta Computer Systems, Inc., a US manufacturer of high-performance industrial motion controllers and related software for closed-loop position, velocity, and pressure/force control of servo-hydraulic, servo-pneumatic, and electric systems. The company was incorporated in 1982 and is headquartered in Battle Ground, Washington.
Its flagship products are the RMC family of motion controllers: the single/dual-axis RMC75, the up-to-8-axis RMC150, and the modular RMC200, which scales to 50 axes of synchronized control with loop times down to 125 microseconds and supports up to 104 reference inputs. RMC controllers connect to virtually any transducer type, including SSI, magnetostrictive (Start/Stop and PWM), analog +/-10V and 4-20mA, and quadrature encoders, and integrate with PLCs and HMIs over EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, and, since 2024, EtherCAT. The controllers are configured and tuned with the free RMCTools software package, which handles setup, tuning, programming, plotting, and troubleshooting. Delta Motion sells through a global network of distributors and serves applications such as press, form, mold and cast control, material test and simulation, cut/peel/shear operations, 6-DOF motion platforms, and all-position pressure/force control across general manufacturing, metals, plastics, wood products, energy, and transportation industries. The company provides extensive support resources including classroom and self-paced training, webinars, an online forum and knowledge base, and online RMC access.
