"Pioneer in 3D concrete printing"
Constructions-3D makes mobile 3D concrete printers; its MaxiPrinter printed La Tour, a 14.14 m building in Bruay-sur-l'Escaut.
Constructions-3D is a French manufacturer of mobile 3D concrete printers for building construction, based at the Citadelle des Savoir-Faire, 83 rue des Mines Innovantes, in Bruay-sur-l'Escaut (Hauts-de-France). Antoine Motte is a co-founder. Its machines are designed and assembled in France, the company operates a local materials plant, and it sells worldwide through official distributors.
The flagship MaxiPrinter is a foldable, mobile concrete printer. Official specifications give a print area of 150 m2, a maximum range of 7 m, a maximum printable length of 12.5 m, a print speed of 250 mm/s and repeatability under 1 cm. The machine weighs 2,700 kg, folds to 86 cm wide and under 2 m high, ships in a 20-foot container, can be set up in 15 to 30 minutes, and can be lifted to continue printing on the next storey. It is offered in electric or diesel versions for off-road use, and is listed from 519,000 USD excluding tax. The MaxiPrinter carries CE marking and was presented at Eurosatory 2024 at TRL 9 for on-site construction of shelters, civil works and buildings in hard-to-reach terrain. The range also includes the MiniPrinter EDU and MiniPrinter XL, along with printable mortar, a laboratory offer and the Constructimeter for materials.
In January 2025 the company announced La Tour in Bruay-sur-l'Escaut, a 14.14 m, 450 m2 building printed with the MaxiPrinter using Sikacrete-733 3D, a fibre-reinforced micro-concrete developed by Sika with Constructions-3D's R&D team, with engineering by Bollinger+Grohmann. The MaxiPrinter was also used for a 3D-printed villa in Dubai in December 2023 that set a Guinness record. Projects have been supported by ADEME, the Hauts-de-France Region and EU co-funding.
