Company Overview

ARGUS Interception GmbH is a German counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) company based in Rotenburg (Wumme) that develops the A1-FALKE net-interception drone, a minimally invasive effector system for the controlled interception and secure recovery of uncooperative drones. The system is built around an interception drone equipped with two integrated net launchers and a sensor suite combining radar, LiDAR and a depth-sensing camera. The effector monitors a defined airspace, detects intruding drones, intercepts them automatically using patented net-launcher technology, and brings them to the ground intact to enable forensic evaluation and preservation of evidence, avoiding secondary damage from falling debris.

The A1-FALKE is scalable and modular: multiple interception drones and ground sensors can be networked to protect large security zones, and the platform integrates into existing C4I systems. It supports stationary, vehicle-based and highly mobile car-trunk deployment configurations, can operate 24/7, and can additionally function as a flying radar. Distinct operating modes include Pursuit, Dog-Fight, Shield and Safe Filing.

The system was developed in collaboration with German federal authorities and airports according to their specifications and is described as field-proven with high interception rates. ARGUS Interception works closely with authorities and universities on research and development, in particular the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. Target applications include critical infrastructure such as airports, seaports, power and water plants, public buildings such as barracks and prisons, major public events and stadiums, industrial facilities, private property and border installations.

Counter-Drone Partnership Sends Ouster Shares Higher as Investors Focus on Airspace Security

Ouster, a lidar manufacturer, experienced a significant surge in its stock prices last week following the announcement of a strategic partnership with German counter-UAS firm ARGUS Interception. This collaboration underscores the increasing demand for technologies that enhance drone detection, tracking, and interception capabilities. The positive market reaction highlights a growing investor interest in airspace security solutions, reflecting a broader trend in the industry as concerns over drone-related threats continue to rise.
