Angsa Robotics GmbH, founded in 2019 in Munich, Germany, develops autonomous outdoor cleaning robots that use artificial intelligence to detect and remove small trash items from grass, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces. Co-founded by Lukas Wiesmeier (CEO), Karl Schulz, and Bilal Tariq as a TUM spinout, the company's robot operates autonomously for up to 8 hours per shift, cleaning up to 8,000 m² and collecting over 2,000 waste items per shift. The robot uses cameras and AI to scan the ground, identify trash, and remove it while preserving the natural environment and avoiding people and obstacles.
Backed by Husqvarna Group and ESA BIC Bavaria, Angsa robots are deployed across five German cities and have supported operations including the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR). The company is recognized as one of Germany's most promising AI startups.
