Italian machinery manufacturer Clevertech has enhanced the flexibility and productivity of end-of-line packaging systems using a variable gripper solution based on XTS technology. A traditional distillery in the Netherlands successfully doubled its throughput with this solution while reducing setup times from 30 minutes to just seven minutes, thanks to PC-based control from Beckhoff, despite handling numerous bottle and packaging variations.
This advancement is significant as it demonstrates the potential for increased efficiency in packaging operations, particularly in industries that require adaptability to various product formats.
