Company Overview

Scanway S.A. is a Polish optoelectronics company founded in 2015 and headquartered at Strzegomska 140A, Wrocław, Poland. Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE: SCW) since October 2023 and promoted to the Main Market in March 2026, the company operates two technology segments: space optical payloads and industrial vision systems.

In the space segment, Scanway designs and manufactures high-resolution telescope systems for Earth Observation satellites under the Scanway Optical Payload (SOP) product family. The SOP 200 is a 200 mm aperture dual-sensor (VIS + NIR) telescope delivering a ground sampling distance of 1.2 m from 350 km altitude with a 4096 x 3072 pixel array, consuming approximately 5 W at 12 V/5 V and weighing around 10 kg. It is recognized as the largest telescope ever built in Poland and was delivered to the EagleEye satellite, launched aboard a Falcon 9 in August 2024. The smaller SOP 120 nanosatellite-class telescope was delivered to the PIAST dual-use Earth Observation nanosatellite constellation. Scanway also develops the Spacecraft Health Scanner (SHS) for in-orbit satellite diagnostics and the Scanway Camera System (SCS) for in-flight rocket and spacecraft inspection.

In the industrial segment, Scanway offers a cloud-named product family built on its proprietary HYDRA analytical middleware, which handles multi-camera and multi-sensor data in real time using proprietary algorithms and pre-built AI models. CUMULUS is a static on-line vision system for automatic quality inspection of individual objects on a production line. STRATUS inspects continuous web materials such as film, foil, and paper at speeds up to 16 m/s with color verification accuracy of deltaE less than 2. CIRRUS inspects large-area surfaces with chaotically moving objects. NIMBUS is specifically designed for robotic integration, enabling mobile and stationary vision-guided quality control tasks. Industries served include food, packaging, printing, automotive, furniture, and medical devices.

Key customers and partners include Creotech Instruments, the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBK PAN), KP Labs, and Aethero. In 2025 Scanway reported revenue of 21.4 million PLN, up 80% year-over-year, with positive EBITDA and operating cash flow. The company employs approximately 65 to 90 people and operates an ISO-class cleanroom manufacturing facility.
