NC AI Co., Ltd. is the artificial intelligence affiliate of Korean game company NCSOFT, headquartered in Seongnam (Pangyo), Korea. The company is best known for its VARCO suite of generative-AI services for content creation, including VARCO 3D (3D mesh and texture generation from text or images), VARCO Sound, VARCO Voice, VARCO Translation, VARCO Art Fashion and VARCO SyncFace, plus its VAETKI multimodal vertical-industry engine and content-protection tools such as VARCO Safety and VARCO Gentle Words. Building on this foundation and more than two decades of large-scale virtual world-building from its NCSOFT MMORPG heritage, NC AI has expanded into physical AI and robotics. In March 2026 the company demonstrated a World Foundation Model (WFM) for robot intelligence designed to close the Sim2Real gap by generating robot actions directly from latent-space information rather than full video, trained on high-precision physics-engine data.
The model reached roughly 70 percent of performance across 24 high-difficulty robotic-arm manipulation tasks (about 80 percent on the top 18 deployment-critical tasks versus leaders such as NVIDIA Cosmos) while using only about 25 percent of the GPU resources typically required. NC AI also operates a large-scale synthetic-data generation pipeline that produces domain-specific training video for robot learning in environments like semiconductor cleanrooms, steel processing and shipyards, and is forming a K-Physical AI Alliance to build a Korea-specific robot ecosystem. Combined with its VARCO 3D simulator capability, NC AI positions itself as a software and foundation-model supplier for physical AI and robotics development.
