Former Danish industrial automation company specializing in turnkey robot cells for food and dairy processing; bankrupt and dissolved in 2021.
KP Automation A/S was a Danish automation engineering company founded in early 2015 when KP Industri acquired JW Engineering in Ikast, Central Jutland. The company designed and delivered turnkey automation systems and robot cells, primarily serving the food and dairy processing industry, and served as a preferred automation partner for GEA Group and Danish dairy processors. The company employed approximately 14 people and generated roughly half of revenue from export orders.
KP Automation declared bankruptcy in May 2020 and was formally dissolved in August 2021. Its assets and operations formed the basis for successor company KP Robotics, which was subsequently rebranded as Ferrum Robotics within the Ferrum Group.
