Flexion Robotics AG is a Zurich, Switzerland-based robotics AI company building the autonomy stack for humanoid robots, spanning command to control and manipulation to locomotion across any hardware and task. Founded in 2024 by scientists, roboticists and engineers whose backgrounds span ETH Zurich, NVIDIA, Meta, Google, Tesla and Amazon, Flexion develops software that leverages large-scale simulation and reinforcement learning to scale to the real world with minimal human involvement. Rather than relying on hand-engineered behaviors or teleoperation, the company applies reinforcement learning techniques designed to be robust to the high diversity of real-world environments, an approach it describes as sim-to-real autonomy. Flexion offers its technology to robot makers through an annual per-robot software licensing model and works with major OEM partners to deploy general-purpose autonomy on humanoid platforms. In November 2025 the company released Flexion Reflect v0, a step toward generalizable robot autonomy, and announced a USD 50 million Series A round led by DST Global Partners with participation from NVentures, Redalpine, Prosus Ventures and Moonfire, following an earlier seed round and bringing total funding to roughly USD 59 million.
Headquartered at Affolternstrasse 42 in Zurich with a US presence in San Francisco, Flexion positions itself as the brain for humanoid robots, supplying the AI control and motion-generation software layer that hardware OEMs integrate into their machines.
