"Changing the face of robotics"
Paris-based French startup building Mirokai, an expressive humanoid service robot that balances on a sphere for healthcare and hospitality.
Enchanted Tools is a French humanoid robotics company founded in 2021 by Jérôme Monceaux (CEO, formerly EVP at Aldebaran Robotics where he co-created Nao and Pepper) and Samuel Benveniste (former CTO at CEN STIMCO). Headquartered in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the company has grown to 100+ employees and raised 17 million euros in seed funding — the largest early-stage robotics investment in French history. Its flagship product is Mirokaï, a 123 cm tall, 28 kg social humanoid robot that balances and moves omnidirectionally on a patented 3-DOF ball-bot base at up to 3.2 km/h.
Featuring 26 degrees of freedom, an animated expressive face with LLM-powered natural language, voice and face recognition, and a 1.5 kg payload capacity, Mirokaï is designed for logistical assistance and human interaction in healthcare, hospitality, retail, and events. The robot has been deployed in French hospitals and nursing homes, assisting with radiation therapy escort, hydration reminders, and guest services, with US expansion underway.
