"Deliver Inspiration & Health"
Rehabilitation robotics group behind Hocoma (Lokomat, Armeo, Andago, Erigo) and Motek (CAREN, GRAIL, C-Mill); delisted from Nasdaq in February 2026.
DIH Holding US, Inc., which also trades as DIH Technology and DIH Medical, is a rehabilitation technology group that owns the Swiss robotics company Hocoma and the Dutch virtual-reality rehabilitation company Motek Medical. The name stands for Deliver Inspiration and Health. In its SEC filings the company describes itself as a provider of robotic devices for people with mobility, balance and arm or hand impairments, built for intensive, interactive rehabilitation and clinical research. It says it was formed by combining several niche technology companies, with the aim of consolidating a fragmented and labor-intensive rehabilitation industry. Its US press releases are datelined Norwell, Massachusetts.
The group took shape in 2016. Hocoma AG, a Swiss medtech company developing robotic and sensor-based rehabilitation led at the time by Dr. Gery Colombo, announced on 1 September 2016 that it would merge with DIH International, a Hong Kong-based holding group headed by Jason Chen. DIH International had recently combined with MotekForce, the Dutch developer of virtual rehabilitation systems, and with FysioRoadmap MRS, a provider of web-based clinical programs and data integration. DIH Holding US later became a Nasdaq-listed company under the symbol DHAI through a merger with the special-purpose acquisition company Aurora Technology Acquisition Corp. During 2025 it received Nasdaq staff determinations for failing to regain compliance with the minimum bid price rule and requested a hearing. A Form 25 filed in January 2026 records Nasdaq's decision that the company no longer qualified for listing, with removal effective at the opening of trading on 2 February 2026.
Hocoma's robotic products are the core of the portfolio. Lokomat, which Hocoma calls the world's leading robotic rehabilitation device, is a robotic gait trainer. It provides highly repetitive, physiological walking training with adjustable hip and knee joint angles, an adjustable patient interface and Augmented Performance Feedback virtual-reality exercises. The current line includes LokomatNanos and LokomatPro, with FreeD and Pediatric modules and a Motivation and Sensation software package. Hocoma lists Lokomat at 651 facilities and the Lokomat Pro Pediatric at 208. ArmeoPower is a robotic arm and hand rehabilitation device for early-stage patients, including those with no active movement. It carries the weight of the arm, gives adjustable assistance from full support to none in 1D, 2D and 3D exercises, records range of motion and forces, and can add the ManovoPower hand module. Hocoma lists it at more than 190 facilities. The Armeo concept also includes ArmeoSpring and ArmeoSpringPro. Andago V2.0 is a mobile device for overground gait and balance training that gives dynamic body weight support and fall protection for hands-free walking on free or therapist-defined paths, and is listed at 282 facilities. The robotics range also includes Erigo for early mobilization.
Motek's systems are research and clinical movement labs. CAREN is described as the world's most advanced biomechanical lab, GRAIL as the gait lab of the future and M-Gait as a modular gait lab, and C-Mill is a further rehabilitation system. RYSEN is a next-generation three-dimensional body weight support system. Motek also lists D-Flow, HBM and GOAT software. A separate platform called HAI4M, based in San Jose, California and listed by Dealroom as launched in 2025, now presents the Hocoma and Motek product lines as one integrated offering. Motek's website now says it is part of HAI4M, while dih.com still presents both brands.
