Beijing maker of harmonic drive reducers since 1994, China's first specialist in the field, supplying spacecraft, energy, instrument and industrial-robot uses.
Beijing CTKM Harmonic Drive Co., Ltd. (Zhongji Kemei in Chinese) is a Beijing manufacturer of harmonic drive reducers, the strain-wave gear units used in robot joints and precision positioning mechanisms. Founded on 9 December 1994, it is described in industry coverage as China's first company dedicated to the design, development, production, sale and servicing of harmonic drive reducers. Its reducers have been used in aerospace, aviation, energy, instrumentation, robotics and medical equipment, and Chinese press reports that they flew on the Shenzhou crewed spacecraft, the Tiangong space laboratory and satellites.
The company's business consists entirely of harmonic reducers: in its 2025 annual report all main business revenue, RMB 58.74 million, came from this product line. It works on an integrated R&D, production and sales model, producing mainly to order with some standard models built to stock. Among its developments are a self-lubricated harmonic reducer, which won a China Machinery Industry Science and Technology first prize in 2004, and a solid-lubricated harmonic drive reducer developed with research partners. Robotics work is recognised in a second first prize from the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award in 2021, for testing and performance technology of precision reducers for industrial robots, and a second prize in 2023 for high-impact, long-life precision harmonic reducer technology. The annual report frames its market position against the global high-precision robot reducer market, which it notes is dominated by Japanese manufacturers.
Operationally the company is small and specialised. It had 105 employees at the end of 2025, including 27 technical and 38 production staff, and spent RMB 5.45 million on R&D that year, up about 35 percent. Press reports put its capacity at close to 20,000 reducers per year and its harmonic reducer revenue at about RMB 15.3 million in the first half of 2023. For 2025 it reported operating revenue of RMB 58.79 million, up 13.2 percent, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 13.43 million, up 27 percent; almost all sales were domestic, with RMB 1.17 million overseas. Its top five customers accounted for about 77 percent of revenue. A new innovation centre building was structurally completed in December 2024.
The company holds GB/T 19001 / ISO 9001 quality management certification, GJB 9001C-2017 certification for military-product quality management and an NQMS Level 2 quality management assessment, and is a national high-tech enterprise, re-certified in October 2025. It is recognised as a Beijing specialised and sophisticated SME (valid to December 2026) and a technology-based SME. Its shares are quoted on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ, base tier) under code 871601. The controlling shareholder is Beijing Linhe Industrial Development Co., Ltd., which holds 76 percent, and the actual controller is the Shunyi District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The legal representative is Zhai Wei and registered capital is RMB 40 million. The company is located in the Linkong Economic Core Zone of Shunyi District, Beijing.
