"Redefining linear motion in a smaller, higher performing package"
Monroe, Washington linear-motion manufacturer founded 2002; builds CPD-series electric actuators, planetary roller screws, and grooved roller bearings.
Creative Motion Control (CMC), founded in 2002, is a linear-motion manufacturer headquartered in Monroe, Washington, in the Seattle metropolitan area, where it operates three manufacturing plants. The company designs and builds three product lines in the United States: electric linear actuators, planetary roller screws, and grooved roller bearings.
CMC's CPD-series electric linear actuators are built in six frame sizes: the 2.5-inch CPD-250, rated to 7,500 lbf of continuous force with a 2 to 30 inch stroke and a 50 in/sec top speed; the 3.5-inch CPD-350 at 23,000 lbf; the 4.5-inch CPD-450 at 34,000 lbf; the 6-inch CPD-600 at 64,000 lbf with strokes up to 160 inches; the 8-inch CPD-800 at 125,000 lbf; and the 10-inch CPD-1000 at 250,000 lbf with strokes up to 230 inches. The actuators include standard position sensors, an optional absolute-feedback option, and internal anti-rotation, and are built as electric alternatives to hydraulic cylinders. CMC's planetary roller screws convert rotary motion to linear motion through threaded rollers that orbit the central shaft, and its grooved roller bearings apply the same patented grooved roller-and-race design used in the roller screws to a separate bearing product line.
CMC's products serve defense, marine, and industrial applications where high force output in a compact envelope is required.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
High force-density electric linear actuators that electrify applications previously requiring hydraulics.
Planetary roller screws delivering higher load, speed and life than ball screws in the same envelope.
Patented grooved roller bearings matching CMC roller-screw performance in the same package.
