"Makers of future focused modular living spaces."
California maker of robotically 3D-printed modular studios, ADUs and homes from recycled plastic composite, with 100+ structures delivered.
Azure Printed Homes is a US manufacturer of robotically 3D-printed modular buildings made from recycled plastic. It was established in 2022 (March or April, depending on the source) as an extension of Azure Construction, a California builder of backyard additions and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) that co-founders Ross Maguire and Gene Eidelman launched in 2019. Maguire, the CEO, previously worked as a construction manager at Carillion; Eidelman came from Houck Construction. The company started in Culver City and now lists its address as 18101 S Figueroa St, Gardena, California. It has also opened a 25,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Northeast Denver.
Instead of printing concrete on site, Azure prints wall and roof structures in a factory using a robotic printer and a polymer composite. Early coverage described the material as about 60% recycled plastic combined with fiberglass and a UV stabiliser. The company says the plastic equivalent of 100,000 bottles goes into every 120 sq ft of structure, that its printing produces no print waste, and that it builds up to 70% faster and 30% more cost-effectively than conventional methods. The walls of a 120 sq ft unit can be printed in under 24 hours, and the largest ADU model prints in about one day. Early on the company quoted about one week from order to installation for its small units.
The product range covers several lines. The Studio Series consists of backyard studios: the D_120 (9 x 13 ft, wave-form roof), the N_100 (9 x 11 ft, asymmetrical roofline) and the A_120 (9 x 13 ft, 10 ft tall gable). Listed starting prices run from about $19,900 to $29,900. The Homes & ADUs line comprises the 360, 540, A_720.1, A_720.2 and 900 models, from 360 sq ft (18 x 20 ft) to a 900 sq ft two-bedroom unit (18 x 50 ft), with starting prices from about $79,900 to $219,900. Azure also offers Homes on Wheels, Office Pods, Tiny Homes and Glamping units, and development programmes for transitional housing, wildfire recovery and eco-resorts.
Azure says it has completed and delivered more than 100 structures to residential and commercial buyers in California and across the US. It was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2025 list and to Pepperdine Graziadio Business School's Most Fundable Companies 2025. Funding has come largely from investment crowdfunding: a Republic campaign in 2022 and a $4.2 million DealMaker campaign launched in January 2025 to scale production and support rebuilding after the Los Angeles wildfires. By April 2025 the company had raised about $6 million in total, including $1.3 million of venture capital.
