EagleNXT Relaunches MicaSense RedEdge-MX Multispectral Sensor with Enhanced Features

EagleNXT has reintroduced the MicaSense RedEdge-MX multispectral sensor, featuring updated hardware and DLS 2 light-sensor support, as announced on July 29, 2026. This sensor is designed for precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and research, and will be assembled in a dedicated production cell in Allen, Texas. The RedEdge-MX is built to withstand harsh field conditions and supports standard vegetation indices such as NDVI and NDRE. It is compatible with various drones and integrates seamlessly with EagleNXT’s processing workflows. The sensor's capabilities have been validated through its use in wheat fertilizer and fungicide research by AGRON, a Hungarian agricultural analytics company. Looking ahead, EagleNXT aims to meet the growing demand for advanced sensor solutions, as highlighted by feedback from users. The RedEdge-MX is now available through EagleNXT’s global network of authorized dealers, signaling a commitment to providing reliable and effective agricultural technology solutions.
