Hangzhou construction-robot operator set up in 2025 by Zhejiang Construction Investment Group to run welding, panel and leveling robots on its sites.
Zhejiang Jiantou Intelligent Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., known by the short name Zhejian Zhizao, is a construction-robot application company created by the state-owned Zhejiang Construction Investment Group to deploy and operate robots and other intelligent construction equipment on the group's building projects. It was formally established on 9 June 2025 in Xihu District, Hangzhou, as the first technology company based in the group's Zhejiang Construction Science and Innovation Park, with registered capital of RMB 100 million. Industry press describes it as the first specialised intelligent construction engineering company in Zhejiang Province built mainly around construction-robot applications.
Ownership. The company is led by Zhejiang Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE: 002761). Co-investors are the group's Zhejiang No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 construction companies, its engineering research institute (Zhejian Technology), Zhejiang Construction Machinery Group, and Shenzhen Bojiang Robot Co., Ltd., a maker of construction robots. Its registered business scope includes sales of intelligent and industrial robots, intelligent robot R&D, and manufacture of industrial and special-operation robots. Shen Xihua, chief engineer of Zhejiang Construction Engineering Group, is quoted as the company's general manager.
Business model. The company says it covers the chain from technology development and product development to on-site deployment and operation and maintenance services, under a 'robot + BIM + digital' operating model, and aims to act as a professional intelligent-construction operator and specialised robotic construction workforce. At its launch the group reported 35 automated and intelligent construction devices already in use across its projects, including intelligent construction hoists, welding robots, panel installation robots, drones, spraying robots, surveying robots and concrete leveling robots. Targets announced at founding include at least 1 million square metres of robot work area in the first year, a special fund of at least RMB 100 million over three years for R&D and equipment, ten recognised intelligent-construction demonstration projects or 'AI+' applications within three years, and intelligent-construction contract value above RMB 2 billion by 2027.
Projects. In October 2026 Hangzhou media reported the company using an ALC wall panel installation robot with 300 kg lifting capacity and eight hours of continuous operation, controlled from a tablet, on the student dormitory project at the Xiaoshan campus of Zhejiang Normal University; the robot carries and positions panels while workers handle edge finishing, sealing and pipe clamps. In December 2025 the company and Zhejiang Provincial Building Materials Group announced a plastering mortar formulated for robotic pumping and spraying, solving pump-pressure stability and sagging problems, first applied on the Hikvision product industrialisation base project, with insulation, waterproofing and crack-resistant variants planned. The company has also presented its work at Hangzhou intelligent-construction events, where the group showed leveling, concrete trowelling, sanding and spraying, ALC panel and as-built measurement robots on projects such as Qianjiang New City.
The company does not publish its own robot product line; robots on its sites are supplied by partner manufacturers.
